The DNREC Division of Climate, Coastal and Energy uses an integrated approach of applied science, education, policy development, and incentives to address Delaware’s climate, energy and coastal challenges.
DNREC’s State Energy Office has launched an Energy Hub, a one-stop shop for all things energy in Delaware, designed to keep Delawareans informed of the changing energy landscape in the state. The Energy Hub includes information about the state’s updated energy plan, a profile of energy sources and uses, and information on clean energy, energy justice and grid modernization strategies.
The Climate and Sustainability Programs Section prepares Delaware for the effects of climate change, reduces planet-warming emissions and builds sustainable communities.
The Delaware National Estuarine Research Reserve is part of a national network of reserves working to establish, protect and manage natural estuarine habitats for research, education and coastal stewardship.
Delaware uses research and education to help lead the public policy discussion and balance the use and protection of coastal and ocean resources.
The Weatherization Assistance Program, located within the DNREC State Energy Office, offers free weatherization assistance to help establish comfortable, energy-saving homes.
The DNREC State Energy Office provides guidance on adopting and implementing smart energy choices through energy conservation and efficiency measures.
