Bring a kid out for free fishing lessons with the DNREC Take a Kid Fishing! program.
Delaware is a great state for youth fishing. DNREC’s Division of Fish and Wildlife offers free fishing lessons for children and young teens through the Take A Kid Fishing! program.
Take A Kid Fishing! events, sponsored by DNREC’s Aquatic Resources Education Center, are geared toward children ages 6 through 15. Participants learn fundamental fishing skills and conservation. All equipment is provided and there is time to practice new fishing skills.
Participation in the Take A Kid Fishing! program is free, but preregistration is required.
To register, please email your name, the date of the event, and the number in your group to Pearlie Franklin.
