Learn how to map the ocean and Delaware Bay in an interactive session from the DNREC Coastal Training Program.
The Mid-Atlantic Ocean Data Portal is a free, publicly accessible GIS and information site with over 6,000 interactive maps depicting marine life distributions, critical habitat areas, vessel traffic patterns, offshore infrastructure proposals, commercial fishing hot spots and much more.
Take a guided tour of the site’s deep collection of maps, tools, features and latest releases with Portal project manager Karl Vilacoba, of the Monmouth University Urban Coast Institute.
Participants should bring their laptops. those who do not may be partnered with someone who has one. The training will run from 1 to 2:30 p.m.
