The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) Division of Waste and Hazardous Substances (WHS) Remediation Section (RS) has adopted a plan regarding the clean-up of the 900 East 30th Street Site (DE- 1773) (Site) located in Wilmington. The Site was developed and operated as a commercial warehouse for the manufacturing of window components in the early to mid-1960s. Prior to the site’s use as a warehouse, the area was a drive-in movie theater. The Site requires a restriction on the use of groundwater, a restriction on the use, the creation and adherence to a contaminated materials management plan, and a vapor assessment if there are proposed foundation changes in the future.
DNREC issued a public notice of the Proposed Plan of Remedial Action (Proposed Plan) for the 900 East 30th Street Site on June 4, 2025. There were no comments or questions from the public regarding the Proposed Plan.
Details of the Final Plan of Remedial Action are available online at den.dnrec.delaware.gov.
